British perfume house Penhaligon’s is the latest name to join the line-up of premium lifestyle brands at Tunsgate Quarter, opening its first standalone shop in Surrey at the centre this September.

Established in 1870, the brand was granted its first Royal Warrant in 1903 by Queen Alexandra, and today holds two long-standing Royal Warrants, granted by HRH The Prince of Wales in 1988 and HRH Duke of Edinburgh in 1956. The royal scent-maker will offer a wide range of luxury fragrances for women and men, as well as gifts, scented candles and grooming products.

Claire Suggitt, Centre Manager at Tunsgate Quarter, said: “As a prestigious heritage brand, Penhaligon’s is a perfect fit for Tunsgate Quarter and will complement the mix of destination brands at the centre. We are thrilled to see Tunsgate Quarter continue to grow its brand mix – we’ve seen six new arrivals open since launch, with two more to open in the coming months. The succession of openings gives shoppers and diners something new to explore each time they visit.”

Penhaligon’s signing follows a recent series of new announcements and openings at the centre; Nespresso opened its Boutique concept in early August, and Seasalt and Cosy Club both opened their first offer in Surrey earlier this summer alongside, Pho, Guildford’s first Vietnamese restaurant. In July, premium eyewear specialist David Clulow moved from the High Street to the centre and Fitness Space is due to open its first studio in Guildford this September. These join other top-brands including The Ivy Castle View, Loaf, OKA, lululemon, The White Company, Cath Kidston and Bobbi Brown at Tunsgate Quarter which is now 80% occupied, or in solicitors’ hands.
