PHO TO JOIN TUNSGATE QUARTER’S RESTAURANT LINE-UP THIS SPRING

Queensberry has added, healthy Vietnamese street food restaurant, Pho to its line-up of high quality shops and restaurants at Tunsgate Quarter. 

 


The new shopping and and leisure development in the heart of Guildford town centre will open to the public on 15th March 2018 with a special opening event. The day will be followed with a number of special activites throughout the next couple of months to celebrate the opening of further shops and restaurants, such as Pho, which will open later this spring.

Established in 2005, in London’s fashionable Clerkenwell district, Pho now has over 25 restaurants across the UK. Joining The Ivy Castle View in Tunsgate Quarter’s restaurant offer, Pho will serve its namesake, Vietnam’s famous national dish - aromatic, nutrious and delicious rice and noodle soups-  alongside a host of other classic Vietnamese dishes, including goi – fresh and spicy salads – wok fried noodles and fragrant curries. The restaurant, which will seat about 135, will offier eat-in and its popular Pho to Go.

Stephen Wall, co-founder of Pho, said: “We are really looking forward to opening our doors at Tunsgate Quarter. The newly remodelled centre is the ideal location for us in Guildford, and we are excited to introduce everyone to our healthy Vietnamese food later this spring."

Chris Daly, Senior Leasing Manager at Queensberry, said: “The announcement of Pho signing is testament to the ongoing interest from top brands. We are excited for the future openings planned throughout the spring and summer including OKA, The White Company, Bobbi Brown, Loaf, Cath Kidston and lululemon opening on the 15th March, followed by The Ivy Castle View, Nespresso and now Pho later in the spring.”

In preparation for the opening, Claire Suggitt has been appointed as Tunsgate Quarter’s Centre Manager, bringing many years experience with her in shopping centre management to the new role. Claire joins from Princess Quay shopping centre in Hull.

I’m looking forward to working alongside local businesses in the area as the improved thoroughfare that Tunsgate Quarter will provide increased interactation with the surrounding streets of Tunsgate, Castle Street and the High Street. We want to provide a really special shopping experience and have worked closely with our brands to provide something special for Guildford.”

Developed by Queensberry, Tunsgate Quarter will be a thriving and stylish shopping and dining quarter, home to a range of premium lifestyle and restaurant brands, in the heart of Guildford’s historic town centre. At 70% pre-let, terms have now been agreed on a further 12% of the space within Tunsgate Quarter with discussions now taking place on the final six spaces.
