The iconic Guildhall clock gifted to Guildford merchants in 1683 isn’t a bad place to start. Once you’re at the top of the High Street, why not take a meander down the beautiful Chapel Street and head to the castle which dates back to 1300? There are always things to do in Guildford - you'll be amazed at what you find!

Nights out

A visit to Bridge Street in the evening is a popular choice, with a range of bars and nightclubs to suit all tastes. Whether it’s a quick drinks with friends or a big night out, this is the place to be. Guildford also has no end of restaurants and places to eat - whatever tickles your fancy, you'll be sure to find something!

Guildford also has two covered shopping centres – The Friary Centre and The White Lion Walk. The Friary deserves its reputation as one of the best shopping centres in Surrey.  The White Lion Walk joins North Street from The Friary to the famous cobbled High Street and you can browse some fantastic shops as you wander through.
